Custom sports mouthguards · Fort Smith, AR & Roland, OK

A mouthguard that counts the hits.

Valley Sport guards are made from a 3D scan of your athlete's actual teeth, right here. Step up to the Valley Sport Pro and the guard has sensors in it — heart rate, head impacts, and work rate, straight to an app on your phone.

Call and we book the scan while you are on the phone — it takes about fifteen minutes. Evenings or weekends, leave your number instead and we will call you back the next business day.

Your wrist tracker is useless in a wrestling room. Watches come off for contact sports, and the boil-and-bite from the sporting goods aisle loosens the moment it warms up. The mouth is the one place a sensor can live through a full contact practice — which is exactly where we already take a scan.

What it tracks

Twenty-plus metrics, from inside the mouth.

Heart rate

Live, from inside the mouth — the one spot that stays put in a scrum.

Head impacts

Region and force, logged per session.

Movement

Body movement and step count through practice and play.

Work rate

Active calories and movement intensity.

Distance

Approximate ground covered.

Session history

Every practice and every game, kept and comparable.

The Valley Sport Pro is built on the ORB Sport sensor platform and pairs over Bluetooth with the ORB Sport app on iOS or Android. The app is built for ages 13 and up; younger athletes can use it with a parent.

Ready? It starts with a phone call.

Tell us the sport, the athlete's age, and whether they are in braces. That is everything we need to point you at the right guard and get the scan on the books.

How it works

Two visits, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Book a scan

Fifteen minutes. We scan the teeth digitally — no impression tray, nothing to gag on.

  2. 02

    We build it

The guard is made to that scan at a dental lab. The Custom comes in your team colors; the Pro comes in black.

  3. 03

    Pick it up

We check the fit, adjust anything that needs it, and set the app up with you before you leave.

For parents

The $20 one is the expensive one.

Boil-and-bite guards are better than nothing, and that is the whole of the case for them. They are bulky, they loosen as they warm, and kids pull them out because they cannot talk or breathe properly. A guard sitting in a gym bag protects nothing at all.

A custom guard is thinner where it can be and thicker where impact actually lands. It stays put without being clenched. Your kid can talk in it, so it stays in.

A knocked-out front tooth at fourteen is not a one-time bill. It is a bonded repair, then a crown, then a replacement crown, then likely an implant — a lifetime of dentistry that starts in the eighth grade.

Teams & coaches

We will come fit the whole roster.

We run team fitting days for schools and clubs across the River Valley. We bring the scanner, work through the roster in a single session, and deliver the finished guards before the season starts — Valley Sport Custom in your team colors, Valley Sport Pro in black. Team pricing depends on roster size — ask and we will put a number in writing for your athletic director.

Straight answers

What we will tell you before you buy.

It is not a medical device

The Valley Sport Pro tracks athletic performance data. It is not FDA cleared, and it is not designed or intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or mitigate any disease or condition — including concussion. An impact count is not a diagnosis. If your athlete takes a hard hit, they need a person to evaluate them, not an app.

No mouthguard prevents concussion

A mouthguard protects teeth, lips, and jaw. Anyone selling you one on a brain-injury promise is selling you something they cannot deliver. We will not do that.

The subscription is separate

The $950 covers the guard, the scan, the fitting, and the charging case. The ORB Sport app runs on its own subscription billed by the manufacturer — currently about $5 to $8 a month. We will show you the current cost before you order.

Not while you are in braces

The manufacturer contraindicates the ORB Sport platform during orthodontic treatment. We do braces and Invisalign here, so we will catch it — and we will fit you with a Valley Sport Custom designed for orthodontic appliances instead.

Questions

Asked and answered.

How much is a custom sports mouthguard?

The Valley Sport Custom, made from a 3D scan of your teeth, is $250 at our Fort Smith and Roland offices. The Valley Sport Pro smart guard is $950 and includes the scan, the fitting, and the wireless charging case. The ORB Sport app subscription is billed separately by the manufacturer, currently around $5 to $8 a month.

How long does it take to get one?

Two visits. The scan appointment takes about fifteen minutes, the guard is built at a dental lab, and you come back to pick it up. We check the fit and set the app up with you before you leave.

Does the Valley Sport Pro detect concussions?

No. It logs the region and force of head impacts as performance data. It is not a medical device, it is not FDA cleared, and it is not designed or intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or mitigate any disease or condition, including concussion. No mouthguard prevents concussion. If an athlete takes a hard hit, they need to be evaluated by a person.

Can my child wear one with braces?

Not the Valley Sport Pro. The manufacturer contraindicates the sensor platform during orthodontic treatment, because teeth move and the fit will not hold. We make Valley Sport Custom guards designed to fit over braces, and that is what we would recommend instead.

Is it really better than a boil-and-bite?

Yes, and the reason is compliance rather than material. A custom guard is thinner where it can be, thicker where impact lands, and stays put without being clenched. Kids can talk in it, so they leave it in. A guard in a gym bag protects nothing.

Can we get the Valley Sport Pro in our team colors?

No. The Valley Sport Pro comes in black only — the sensors sit inside the guard, which rules out the coloured layering we use on a standard guard. If team colors matter more than the metrics, the Valley Sport Custom at $250 is the one to get, and we make those in whatever your school runs.

Do you fit teams?

We do. We bring the scanner to the school or club, work through the roster in one session, and deliver before the season. Valley Sport Custom guards come in your team colors; the Valley Sport Pro comes in black only. Team pricing depends on roster size and we will put it in writing.

Get them fitted.

The fastest way in is a phone call — we book the scan while you are on the line. Tell us the sport and whether they are in braces, and we will point you at the right guard before you come in.
