Accessibility at Valley Family Dental
Valley Family Dental is committed to making valleyfamily.dental and both dental offices accessible. Tell us about a barrier and we will fix it.
We want this site to work for everyone
Some of our patients navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or rely on captions. This site is built to work for them, and when it does not, we want to hear about it.
What we build to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means:
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure on every page
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
- Text and background colors that meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- Form fields with proper labels and clear error messaging
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide
- Text that stays readable when zoomed to 200 percent
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We check new pages as we publish them.
Where we know we fall short
Some third-party content we embed, including mapping and financing tools, is outside our direct control and may not fully meet these standards. If one of those tools blocks you from something you need, call us and a person will help you complete it.
Accessibility at our offices
Both our Fort Smith and Roland offices have accessible parking and entry. If you need a specific accommodation for your visit — a wheelchair-accessible operatory, extra time, a quiet environment, assistance with forms, or communication support — tell us when you schedule and we will arrange it in advance.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into something on this site you cannot use, we want the specifics: the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device or assistive technology you were using. That detail lets us fix the actual problem rather than guess.
Call Fort Smith at (479) 226-3500 or Roland at (918) 503-6262, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We aim to respond to accessibility reports within three business days.
Request your appointment.
Four questions. Our care team calls you back within one business day. If you are in pain right now, call the office directly and we will get you seen.
